SAFEGUARDING SESSION FOR PARENTS IN FAITH COMMUNITIES
We are thrilled to share the highlights of the recent Safeguarding Training Workshop, hosted in Winners Chapel International Leeds. This impactful event brought together over 110 parents, 30 children, and faith leaders to empower African communities with critical safeguarding knowledge.
Key highlights include:
✔️ A keynote address by the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr. Abigail Marshall Katung, titled “Parenting with Purpose: Safeguarding our Children for a Safer, Thriving Society.”
✔️ Interactive sessions equipping parents and leaders with practical tools to recognize and address safeguarding concerns.
✔️ The launch of Afrikindness’ culturally adapted Safeguarding Training Pack, tailored to meet the unique needs of faith communities.
